BBC Health Check with Claudia Hammond

Monty spoke to Claudia Hammond for the BBC’s Health Check programme, in a broadcast airing on Monday 15 July 2019. Their conversation centred around the recently published The Remarkable Life of the Skin. It covered the psychological and social elements of skin, from why we blush to the plight of people with albinism in East Africa.

The programme also touched on wide-ranging questions such as whether it should be routine practice to offer induction of labour at 40 weeks, the negative impact on children’s health of long summer holidays, as well as The Remarkable Life of the Skin.

The conversation can be found on the BBC Sounds website.
